Engagement Letter for 2009 Individual Tax Returns

Many tax professionals use what’s called an Engagement Letter to outline services to be provided and to clarify the responsibilities of the parties involved.  It is a good way to educate taxpayers about their responsibilities while also protecting the tax professional from certain liabilities.  Thus, I ask all clients for whom Individual Income Tax Returns are prepared to sign one of these documents.
